life can be hard
My clients come to therapy looking for a way to make life less overwhelming. They find themselves overthinking everything, getting stuck in thought loops, and sometimes blaming themselves for all their struggles. Everything feels difficult and each decision feels like the most important one they will ever make. My clients put a lot of pressure on themselves to do everything to the best of their ability, leaving them feeling exhausted, burned out, and not good enough.
As an adolescent, talking to your parents or caregivers can feel really vulnerable and awkward. For most teens, the therapeutic relationship is one of the only adult relationships in their lives in which an adult is not telling them what they should or need to do. As your therapist, I am here to listen, offer information and perspective, and give teen clients the space to choose their own path without judgment.
our focus
Therapy for adolescents & young adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, and relational trauma.
1
Anxiety & OCD
Anxiety and OCD can feel all-consuming. We use Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to slow down and relate to your thoughts in a way that feels manageable.
2
Relational Trauma
Many folks struggle with symptoms of anxiety and depression before they discover what they're experiencing is actually relational and/or complex trauma. Relational trauma can show up in many forms, including panic attacks, constant stress and overwhelm, depression, suicidal ideation, and chronic illness.

Navigating Adolescence
Being a pre-teen and teenager is hard. Caregiving for humans in that phase of life is also difficult. We work with adolescents and/or their caregivers to make this stage of life feel less sticky and navigate the unique challenges it presents.
